Warriors' Draymond Green gets engaged, Steve Kerr announces

Warriors coach Steve Kerr broke the news that his All-Star forward Draymond Green got engaged while the team has been in Los Angeles the past few days.

While talking about the team's relaxing time in Southern California, Kerr sort of let it slip Monday that Green is now engaged to be married to reality TV star Hazel Renee. Neither of them had officially announced the big news, so Kerr beat all the entertainment news websites to the story.

“The time's been great,” Kerr told reporters after shoot-around before Monday night's game in L.A. against the Lakers. “A nice change of pace during the middle of the season, especially in mid-January. Beautiful weather here, and a lot of guys have brought family members. Draymond got engaged. A lot of great stuff.”

The 28-year-old Green, who has two children with ex-girlfriend Jelissa Hardy, reportedly has been dating Renee for more than a year.

Renee, 32, is an actress who has been on the Fox TV show “Empire” as well as appearing on reality shows “Basketball Wives” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She has a young daughter from a previous relationship.
