Fundraising campaign kicks off for new Roseland Library

Community activists have said previously the library will be a key part of public infrastructure for the fast-growing Roseland area.|

The fall fundraising campaign for a new library in Roseland got underway Thursday with a breakfast at the Central Library in downtown Santa Rosa.

The Sonoma County Library and the nonprofit Sonoma County Public Library Foundation invited city officials, potential donors, tribal council members from the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and other community leaders to kick off a $3.6 million capital campaign to build a new library.
