The California Highway Patrol is investigating after a Rohnert Park police officer was injured in a collision Thursday with another driver.

The collision occurred at about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Eleanor Avenue, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

The on-duty officer was heading north on Country Club Drive in a marked police vehicle as another driver approached from the opposite direction in a Lexus SUV.

According to the CHP, the collision occurred after the Lexus’ driver turned left in front of the officer at the intersection, which has a four-way stop.

The officer was treated for minor injuries and released from a hospital Thursday night. The other driver was not injured, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Both vehicles had moderate damage.

There were no arrests, and drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information on the collision may call 707-588-1400 and refer to CHP Report No. 9360-2022-02029.
