A motorcyclist suffered major injuries Friday in a head-on collision near Freestone, the CHP said.

The unidentified rider was heading east on Bodega Highway at about 4:30 p.m. when his Yamaha R6 motorcycle crossed over the double yellow lines near Wagnon Road and into the oncoming lane of traffic, Sgt. Andrew Henkens said.

The motorcycle collided with a Toyota Prius.
