One driver hospitalized, another arrested in head-on Santa Rosa collision

A head-on collision Saturday morning on Santa Rosa’s Mendocino Avenue sent one driver to a nearby hospital and led to the arrest of another driver, police said.|

A head-on collision early Saturday morning on Santa Rosa’s Mendocino Avenue sent one driver to a nearby hospital and led to the arrest of another driver, Santa Rosa police said.

Karley Silva, 21, of Rohnert Park was booked at Sonoma County Jail for felony driving under the influence. The other vehicle’s driver, who was not immediately identified, was hospitalized with major injuries but appeared to be stable.

The collision occurred just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Mendocino Avenue. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this collision is encouraged to contact Office Mike Mieger of the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-543-8422.
