Ukiah man arrested in storage unit burglaries

A Ukiah man was arrested Tuesday in connection with multiple burglaries, Mendocino County sheriff's officials said.

Ukiah police detectives Tuesday trailed 35-year-old Tony Marsh, a suspect in a residential burglary, to a storage facility outside city limits, Sgt. Rick Wagner said.

Officers found stolen goods at the storage unit and evidence that someone had broken into four or five units, Wagner said.

Sheriff's detectives were called to investigate the storage facility burglaries, which occurred in the sheriff's jurisdiction.

Marsh confessed to breaking into one of the units and taking about $3,000 worth of disc jockey equipment, Sgt. Dan Edwards said.

Marsh is being held on $67,500 bail on suspicion of first and second degree burglary, receiving stolen property and being in possession and under the influence of a controlled substance, jail staff said.
