Vegas homicide involves Santa Rosa pair

Two former Santa Rosa residents, students at Montgomery High School in the 1980s, are the subjects of a Las Vegas homicide investigation after one was killed and the other accused of murder.

David M. Frostick, 45, was in custody Wednesday at the Clark County Detention Center on a murder charge after police investigated a disturbance call at the home he shared with Robin Jenkins, also 45.

Jenkins was found dead in the house Sunday evening, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call at the home in The Lakes, a residential community of apartments and single-family homes within the city limits of Las Vegas, at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday, the paper reported.

Police saw a large amount of blood seeping through a door of the home. Jenkins was found dead, apparently after having suffered several stab wounds, the Las Vegas Sun reported. Frostick was later arrested.

Las Vegas police would not confirm the details of the homicide Wednesday. Spokesman Ramon Denbey said Frostick is ?part of an ongoing investigation being handled by the homicide section.?

Attempts to reach the families of Jenkins and Frostick were unsuccessful.

A neighbor of the pair in Las Vegas, Jib O?Brien, said the couple moved into their two-story home less than a year ago. O?Brien said he visited them then but since that time had spoken with them only occasionally.

?They were nice and everything and we joked around and stuff,? he said. ?I?m pretty shocked.?

O?Brien said Jenkins was a former singer and Frostick was working in construction.
