Woman killed in Santa Rosa car crash ID'd

A woman who was killed when her car smashed into a Santa Rosa fence was identified Thursday as Ann Lynch, 76, of Sebastopol.

She was pronounced dead at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday after losing control of her Toyota Corolla while westbound on Millbrae Avenue, the CHP said.

She apparently drifted to the right, overcorrected and ran off the left side of Millbrae, officers said.

She hit the fence and a board pierced her windshield, hitting her head.

An autopsy Friday was expected to determine the exact cause of her death, coroner's officials said.
