Midstate Construction Corp. has won two large construction projects in Petaluma and Napa, the company announced Tuesday.

The Petaluma-based contractor will build the Maria Drive Apartment project in Petaluma, a high-end six-building, 144-unit apartment complex on the city’s east side.

Developer JDA West recently selected Midstate for the job, scheduled for completion by winter 2015.

Amenities will include a swimming pool, hot tub, cabana, fitness center, iCafe, and a dog wash station on almost six acres of landscaped grounds.

Designed by BDE Architecture, the project will meet Cal Green and Build it Green environmental building requirements.

Midstate also recently began construction of the Hampton Inn & Suites hotel in Napa. Work is scheduled for completion by summer.

The project, by owner Palmetto Hospitality of Napa and developer OTO Development, will include an 80,500-square-foot, four-story hotel with swimming pool and spa. The hotel will provide 115 guest rooms as well as outdoor amenities such as fire pits and electric vehicle charging stations.

Designed by Architectural Dimensions, the project will seek LEED silver certification and is projected to exceed Cal Green minimum requirements.

Midstate Construction, founded in 1935 and headquartered in Petaluma, is one of the largest commercial contractors in the North Bay. It has managed several large jobs in Northern California, including the recently completed East Washington Place shopping center in Petaluma.
