Dick’s Sporting Goods begins hiring for new Santa Rosa store

Dick’s Sporting Goods is seeking to fill about 50 full- and part-time positions for a new Santa Rosa store that is slated to open this winter.

Dick’s has begun hiring for both management and associate positions for its store at 1975 Cleveland Ave. next to Coddingtown Mall, the Pittsburgh-based company said Tuesday. Those interested in applying can go online to www.dickssportinggoods.jobs.

The company didn’t release the date of its grand opening but said more details will be made public in the coming weeks. The store will feature athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear, plus gear for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing.

Founded in 1948, Dick’s bills itself as “the largest U.S. based full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer.” The company operates more than 600 sporting goods stores, including one in Petaluma.
