Radio station KGO (810 AM) is keeping popular talk show host Ronn Owens around, after all.

Citing "listener outcry," station owner Cumulus Media announced Monday that the longtime host's previously announced move to sister station KSFO (560 AM) was off.

His KGO show will resume Tuesday, starting at 10 a.m.

Owens went to Facebook to thank his fans. "I cannot thank you enough for voicing your support for me the last few days in phone calls, emails, letters and Facebook posts. Your voices were heard and I will not be going to KSFO."

He has been at the San Francisco station for more than 40 years.

KGO's new lineup, also starting Tuesday, includes the syndicated "The Armstrong & Getty Show" from 6 a.m.-10 a.m., Owens from 10 a.m.-noon, Ethan Bearman from noon-2 p.m., Brian Copeland from 2 p.m.-4p.m., Chip Franklin from 4 p.m.-7p.m. and Kevin "Drex" Buchard from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
