Paris Jackson says '13 Reasons Why' is 'extremely triggering'
Add model and "Star" actress Paris Jackson to the growing list of people warning potential viewers about the popular Netflix series "13 Reasons Why."
Michael Jackson's 19-year-old daughter weighed in on the Sebastopol-filmed show in an Instagram post Thursday, writing, "Please only watch this show with caution and keep in mind that it may put you in a dark place. If you are struggling, please don't watch it. If you think you can handle it, please by all means check it out.
Jackson, who revealed in a Rolling Stone interview earlier this year that she's attempted suicide "multiple times," said the graphic scenes in which the main character climbs into a bathtub and cuts herself with a razor blade, "is an extremely triggering thing to watch."
The 13-episode drama, co-produced by actress and singer Selena Gomez, is based on Jay Asher's bestseller about a high school student who kills herself and leaves behind 13 audiotapes detailing what led her to take her own life.
