'A Hero's Halloween' to scare up free family fun in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa is holding its inaugural “A Hero's Halloween” tonight, a family-friendly block party and trick-or-treat event in Old Courthouse Square. The free holiday happening takes place 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and includes music, carnival fun and trick-or-treating at downtown businesses.
The event is organized by the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, the Downtown Action Organization and Wine Country Moms Blog as a way for the community to come together in the wake of the devastating North Bay fires. It's also a chance to celebrate community heroes.
Non-scary costumes are encouraged and there will be a collection of costumes in various sizes for kids who don't already have one.
Mountain Mike's Pizza and Victorian Farmstead will also be passing out hot dogs and pizza. The Tri-Tip Trolley food truck will also have food available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to RSVP to the event and availability of candy is limited.
