Celebrity chef Tyler Florence releases trailer for 'Uncrushable' documentary on North Bay firestorm

Celebrity chef and Marin County resident Tyler Florence released a trailer this week for his new documentary, "Uncrushable," in which he explores the wildfires that tore through North Bay communities in October 2017.

Florence, also a popular Food Network host, was helping coordinate a fundraiser shortly after the fires and wanted to capture the resiliency of the region in real time, as he saw it happening around him, he told the San Francisco Chronicle.

The 72-minute documentary includes interviews with survivors, including Benzinger Family Winery's Chris Benzinger, as well as first responders.

It will debut locally at a free community forum on tourism recovery hosted by Visit California and Sonoma County Tourism at the Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa on Oct. 19. The firestorm last year killed 44 people across four counties. About 6,200 homes were destroyed in the North Bay.
