A 19-year-old man allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol rear-ended a dump truck on Highway 101 Saturday morning.

The man was traveling northbound in a Chevrolet Monte Carlo near Todd Road around 7 a.m. when he slammed into a Freightliner dump truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The truck was participating in the cleanup of fire-ravaged properties in the area, Officer Jonathan Adkins said.

Neither driver was injured, but the man driving the Monte Carlo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, Adkins said.

His name was not immediately available.
