An 18-year-old Rohnert Park woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from the local Walmart while she was an employee there, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.

The city’s police department obtained a warrant for Angel Vu’s arrest and searched her home Wednesday. She cooperated with investigators and walked them through the home, pointing out stolen items including electronics and video games totaling over $5,700. Vu stole an unknown amount of other merchandise that was not recovered, police said.

Angel’s mother, Diem Vu, 41, and her sister, Judy Vu, 19, admitted to helping Vu steal the items, police said. Vu was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and embezzlement, and her two family members were each arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen property. All three were in custody in the Sonoma County jail Wednesday night, according to jail records.
