California residents are often accustomed to bountiful nature and a relaxed lifestyle, but many are looking to the Grand Canyon State to find these accommodations, without the pricey strings attached.

In 2017, nearly 60,000 California residents moved to Arizona, according to that year’s Census Bureau data. Arizona was the second most popular destination, after Texas, for ex-Californians to move to from 2007 to 2016, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
