Healdsburg-based Foley Family Wines added to its growing portfolio of wineries Monday, expanding into Oregon for the first time with a deal to purchase The Four Graces in Willamette Valley.
The Four Graces, established by the Black family in 2003, produces about 20,000 cases of wine a year. The deal includes two vineyards, totaling nearly 100 planted acres, in the Dundee Hills and Yamhill-Carlton viticultural areas.
Financial terms were not disclosed. International Wine Associates in Healdsburg represented The Four Graces in the transaction.
The purchase reflects the growing popularity of Oregon wines, said IWA principal Robert Nicholson, principal at the mergers and acquisitions firm.
"Oregon has moved out of the cottage industry," he said.
Last year, Jackson Family Wines bought nearly 300 acres of vineyards in Oregon and Sol?a Estate, a 15,000-case winery in the Yamhill-Carlton district. Louis Jadot, a French wine company, acquired a vineyard in Willamette Valley.
