The Santa Rosa Fastpitch men's softball team won twice Thursday and advanced to the third round of the 2013 North American Fastpitch Association A-Major world tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.
After being declared a 2-0 winner by forfeit in its first-round game because the opponent didn't show, the Santa Rosa team defeated RM Kurtz of Pennsylvania, 5-2, behind a pair of two-run homers by Brian Macler and Danny Macler.
Mark Bennett was the winning pitcher.
