Marquee chefs gather in Napa to celebrate truffles

The inaugural Napa Truffle Festival, featuring leading truffle cultivation experts and an array of Michelin-starred chefs, will launch Dec. 10 to 12 at various Napa venues.

Hosted by the American Truffle Company, the celebration of the revered black truffle kicks off Dec. 10 with an opening reception at The Westin Verasa in Napa and prix fixe dinners at select Napa restaurants.

On Dec. 11, activities include cultivation seminars, cooking classes, a tour of a truffle orchard at Robert Sinskey Vineyards and a Michelin Star Truffle Dinner featuring chef/owner Ken Frank of La Toque in Napa, among others.

The festival concludes Dec. 12 with a Champagne Truffle Brunch and Epicurean Marketplace, featuring wares from local growers and vendors.

Tickets range from $15 for the marketplace to $1,325 for a three-day pass to all events. To reserve: napatrufflefestival.com.
