RURAL CEMETERY PRESERVATION

Help maintain cemetery

The Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery Preservation Committee needs volunteers to help with weed control at the 17-acre historic cemetery. Monthly work parties are held on Saturdays. The next one begins at 9 a.m. May 8 at the gate at Franklin and Monroe streets. Small work groups also meet on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings throughout the year for maintenance projects. BIRD RESCUE CENTER

Volunteer orientation

The Bird Rescue Center in Santa Rosa has scheduled volunteer orientation for its adult and junior volunteer programs. Help is needed year-round, but especially during baby bird season, April through August. The junior orientation is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at 3430 Chanate Road. KRCB RADIO 91

On-air help needed

KRCB Radio 91 in Rohnert Park needs help with its on-air spring membership drive to be held from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. May 3 through May 15. Two-, three- and four-hour shifts are available at the public broadcasting station. Call Cheryl or Heather at 584-2005 or e-mail cheryl_scholar@krcb.org.

116TH ANNUAL ROSE PARADE

Help direct parade traffic

Organizers of Santa Rosa's 116th annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade need 40 volunteers to help with barricades and parade traffic. Volunteers would keep traffic out of the parade route and??direct parade entries in an orderly fashion. Assistance is needed from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
