Many community based bands and choral groups exist in Sonoma County, providing a creative outlet for musicians of all skill levels. Among them are:

BANDS

Petaluma Community Band, rehearses Monday evenings at Casa Grande High School, petalumacommunityband.org.

Old Adobe Band, rehearses Wednesday nights at Sonoma Mountain Elementary School, Petaluma, lcomyns@yahoo.com.

Rohnert Park Community Band, rehearses Monday nights at the Burton Ave. Recreation Center, rohnertparkcommunityband.sharepoint.com.

Sebastopol Community Band, rehearses Sundays at 4 p.m., sonic.net/~gjilka/Band/sebastopol_community_band_.htm.

New Horizons Band of Sonoma County, targeted for people over 50, meets in Santa Rosa on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, nhbsc.org.

Santa Rosa Junior College Symphonic Band, must enroll at SRJC to be eligible, daytime rehearsals Tuesday and Thursday, santarosa.edu/music/band.php.

CHORAL GROUPS

CinnaGals and Cinnabar Singers, both sponsored by Cinnabar Theater, rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Petaluma, cinnabartheater.org.

Occidental Community Choir, auditions held several times each year, occidentalchoir.org.

California Redwood Chorale, open auditions for experienced singers who can read music, californiaredwoodchorale.org.

Healdsburg Community Chorus, regular attendance required, healdsburgchorus.com.

Rohnert Park Vintage Choir, meets midday Tuesdays from September-June in the Senior Center Activity Room, 585-6780.
