Upcoming SRJC planetarium shows
There's something about looking up at the millions of stars in the night sky that can give you some perspective about how huge our universe really is. Now, imagine being able to view all of these stars up close. You can at one of the planetarium shows at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Mark your calendars for one of these upcoming events.
“The Path to Cygnus X-1”
1:30 p.m. Sundays March 13, 20 and 27
7 p.m. March 18-19 and 25-26
A show tracing the path to Cygnus X-1, a stellar black hole some 6,100 light years from Earth.
Admission is $8 general, $5 students, seniors and kids 13 and younger.
First Friday Night Sky
Show content is an accurate look at the specific stars, constellations, planets and facts about that night's sky.
7 and 8:30 p.m. April 1 and May 6

“Astronaut Lullabies”
3 p.m. Sunday, April 3 and Sunday, May 8
Planetarium show choreographed to science and astronomy songs performed live by Sonoma County singer-songwriters Jim and Kathy Ocean. An immersive, multi-sensory journey into outer space.
Admission is $15 general, $10 students and seniors. Tickets sold at the door or in advance at eventbrite.com.
Day Under the Oaks (SRJC Open House)
Free 30-minute demonstration shows every 45 minutes beginning 11 a.m. Sunday, May 1. (Event is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) Free admission and parking.
