SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco officials have gathered to remember victims of the city's devastating 1906 earthquake on the quake's 110th anniversary.

Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White was among those on hand early Monday morning at Lotta's Fountain, which was a gathering place for survivors in 1906. The quake and ensuing fire killed thousands.

The last two survivors of the quake died recently.

People at the ceremony also remembered victims of this month's quakes in Japan and Ecuador.
