The vehicle used in the robbery and shooting of an armored car guard in Windsor on Tuesday was carjacked at gunpoint from a young man playing "Pokémon Go" at a park in Antelope over the weekend, Sonoma County authorities confirmed late Wednesday.

Local media reported that an armed man confronted the game player late Sunday night, taking his phone, cash and the keys to his Suzuki Vitara Grand.

The Suzuki is the same car that pulled up behind the Loomis truck outside the Windsor Chase Bank branch carrying two masked men, Sonoma County Sheriff's Lt. Carlos Basurto confirmed late Wednesday.

Antelope resident Serge Gutsu, 24, and his alleged accomplice, Ivan Morales, 23, of Lakeport, are scheduled to make their first court appearance on attempted murder, robbery and conspiracy charges at 1:30 p.m. today in Sonoma County Superior Court.

Authorities, who are calling the pair "brazen criminals" revealed new details about the robbery and shooting in a Press Democrat story here.
