Fire damaged a standalone garage Sunday at a rural Petaluma property, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 6:18 p.m. at a property on Middle Two Rock Road near Eucalyptus Road and west of Bodega Avenue.

Wilmar Volunteer Fire Chief Mike Mickelson said the garage, which was used to repair motorcycles, was fully involved when they arrived. The blaze had begun spreading to surrounding grassland, but the fire crews quickly knocked it down, Mickelson said.

They extinguished the structure fire within about 20 minutes, he said.

Firefighters from Cal Fire, Petaluma, Rancho Adobe assisted, while San Antonio crews covered Wilmar’s stations.

Sonoma County fire investigators were still at the property late Sunday working to determine how the fire started.
