A Santa Rosa resident suffered minor injuries during a garage fire Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.

Crews responded to the blaze at 3:49 p.m. in the 3200 block of Hoen Avenue, where flames were shooting from an attached garage, said Santa Rosa Fire Battalion Chief Matt Dahl.

Firefighters were able to limit the flames to the garage and put out the blaze within 20 minutes, though it destroyed a motorcycle and a BMW sedan, Dahl said.

The male resident suffered superficial burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center, Dahl said.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, he said.
