A 4,000-foot stretch of Santa Rosa Creek, the site of a homeless encampment

last year, is the target of cleanup efforts as part of Earth Day on Monday.

The cleanup effort, headed by the city's public works department, is

seeking volunteers to assist removing discarded trash and other debris swept

into the area by winter rains.

Those wanting to volunteer are asked to show up at 9 a.m. at the Carrillo

Adobe, 2801 Montgomery Drive. Parking is available along Montgomery Drive.
