SANTA ROSA: DUI CHECKPOINT RESULTS IN 13 ARRESTS FRIDAY
A DUI checkpoint in Santa Rosa Friday night netted 13 arrests, but none for driving under the influence.
The Santa Rosa Police Department arrested three people for driving without a license and eight for driving on suspended licenses. Officers towed and impounded the cars of the suspended license drivers.
A passenger who had methamphetamine was arrested for public intoxication. And another driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
In total, 775 vehicles passed through the checkpoint set up at two locations -- Santa Rosa Avenue at Barham Avenue and College Avenue at Morgan Street.
