A Rohnert Park nail salon was held up Sunday afternoon while the owner was inside with a customer, police said.

A gunman entered Quynh’s Nails Spa on Maurice Avenue at East Cotati Avenue around 2:09 p.m. and brandished a handgun before demanding money, the Rohnert Park Public Safety Department said.

The robber left the store on foot and was captured on a surveillance camera before his escape.

Police described him as white, about 6 feet 3 inches tall weighing about 220 pounds, possibly with blond hair, police said. He appeared to be in his late 30s or early 40s and was wearing a black baseball hat with a white image of the California flag grizzly bear on the front, black sunglasses, a light-blue button-up shirt and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident or who recognize the suspect is asked to call investigators at 707-584-2600.
