Gov. Brown names Sonoma, Mendocino county judges

Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday announced the appointment of two North Coast judges.

Jennifer V. Dollard, 50 of Santa Rosa, will fill a vacancy left by the retirement of Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Gary Medvigy. Dollard has beeln a court commissioner since 2014 and was previously a commissioner and deputy prosecutor in Shasta County. She served as assistant staff judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force from 1994 to 1998. Dollard is registered to vote without party affiliation.

Carly B. Dolan, 44 of Ukiah, was appointed to replace Mendocino County Superior Court Judge Richard Henderson after he retired. Dolan was an assistant public defender since 2013 and served as a lawyer in the office since 2001. She is a registered Democrat.

The two were among 34 judges appointed statewide by Brown. Each will receive an annual salary of $200,042.
