CHP makes 22 DUI arrests over New Year’s weekend

In addition, Santa Rosa police made 74 DUI arrests between Nov. 22 and Jan. 2.|

The Santa Rosa Area CHP made 22 DUI arrests over the New Year’s weekend.

The week prior over the Christmas weekend there were 14 arrests, said CHP spokesman Jon Sloat. CHP typically makes 12 to 15 DUI arrests each weekend throughout the year, Sloat said.

Between Nov. 22 and Jan. 2, Santa Rosa police made 74 DUI arrests, up from 64 in the same period last year, said Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Summer Black.
