The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a man found inside a burned truck in a Windsor vineyard.

The man was found after 4:30 p.m. Saturday when Windsor firefighters were called to a fire off Los Amigos Road near Limerick Lane, sheriff’s Lt. Greg Miller said Monday.

Firefighters found flames engulfing a Chevrolet pickup. After extinguishing the fire they found the body of a man in the driver’s seat. Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies then were called to the northwest Windsor scene, Miller said.

The truck wasn’t near the road and didn’t appear to have been in a crash.

The man’s name wasn’t released and further details weren’t available Monday.
