A single-car crash in Occidental Monday afternoon left the vehicle 50 feet down an embankment leaking auto fluids into Dutch Bill Creek.
The incident occurred on Bohemian Highway about a quarter mile north of Graton Road, according to county fire dispatch. The Occidental Volunteer Fire Department, along with Sonoma Life Support and Sonoma County’s hazmat unit, responded.
The female driver of the Subaru Forester was the car’s only occupant. She escaped on her own and did not require medical help.
The car was towed from the creek about 6:10 p.m.
Neither alcohol nor drugs was believed involved, according to the CHP. The investigation is ongoing.
