A Shelter Cove resident reported Saturday that three men tied him up and stole his pot and other items.

The resident of Hillside Drive reported that around 1:45 p.m. three men with guns walked into his garage and forced him to the ground and demanded his cash and stash.

The men searched the house, found somebody else inside and tied that person up, too, according to a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects — described as three men in their 20s — took both victims' cellphones, $500 in cash and some packaged marijuana before locking them in the basement.

When the two escaped they called deputies.
