Potter Valley man, 18, charged with lewd acts on child
An 18-year-old Potter Valley man was arrested Monday on suspicion of having sexual contact with a 14-year-girl, including when she was still 13.
Swan Thomas Johnson was taken into custody on Main Street without incident and booked into Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of five felonies. His bail was set at $100,000.
The investigation began April 6, when a parent reported to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Department suspicions their daughter was having sex with Johnson.
The daughter confirmed multiple sexual incidents with Johnson, officials said in a release.
He was booked on suspicion of five felonies, including oral copulation with a child under 14, lewd acts with a child under 14, penetration with a foreign object with a child under 14, communicating with a child under 14 with the intent to commit a sexual act and sending obscene material to a child.
