A Santa Rosa man was arrested Monday night on suspicion of drunken driving and drug possession after slamming into a patrol car.

Ramon Mora-Galvez, 31, had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when he rear-ended a patrol car sitting at a red light on Stony Point Road and West Third Street just before 11 p.m., Santa Rosa police said.

He also had 70 pounds of processed marijuana in the backseat of his vehicle and a small bag of cocaine in his sock, police said.

The officer involved in the crash was taken to the hospital but didn’t end up requiring medical treatment, police said.

Mora-Galvez was booked into Sonoma County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including causing injury while driving drunk, violating probation, transporting marijuana for sale and possessing cocaine.
