From puff sleeves to pencil skirts, Sonoma County is hooked on fashion.

In the late 1800s floor-length dresses with bustles and puff sleeves changed a woman’s silhouette while modestly concealing legs.

In the Roaring Twenties hemlines rose and hair was cropped short after women earned the right to vote and began enjoying new freedoms.

By the 1960s skirts were minuscule as the waves of revolution swept the nation and women fought for equality in the workplace and at home.
