A Santa Rosa man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and carrying a concealed weapon, police say.

During a traffic stop around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on Farmers Lane just north of Hoen Frontage Road, Santa Rosa police found a loaded gun and about half a pound of methamphetamine under Jason Lee White’s seat.

White, 21, was the only person in the car, and police say the methamphetamine was packaged for distribution. He is a known gang participant, police said.

“The high-risk traffic stop was a result of an ongoing investigation,” a police press release said.

White was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales, transporting methamphetamine, drug sales in a school zone, possession of a controlled substance while armed, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in public, felony possession of a firearm and felony possession of ammunition.

White was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility.
