Two convicted felons were arrested Thursday in a Rohnert Park store parking lot on suspicion of possessing firearms and methamphetamine.

Steven Hoelbl, 64, and Gregory Pike, 58, both of Fort Bragg, were booked into the Sonoma County Jail. Bail was set at $31,000 for Hoelbl and $20,000 for Pike.

A Rohnert Park police officer spotted the two men about 2:15 p.m. sitting in a truck in the Walmart parking lot on Redwood Drive, according to a press release from the city’s Department of Public Safety.

Hoelbl is on probation and must submit to police search of his property, police said. A search of his truck “revealed two shotguns, a revolver, ammunition, methamphetamine, a glass pipe and hypodermic needles,” according to the press release.
