Vehicles collide on Highway 101 in Petaluma

The morning crash blocked two Highway 101 lanes for about 20 minutes Tuesday, according to the CHP.|

As many as four vehicles collided early Tuesday on Highway 101 in northern Petaluma, temporarily blocking two lanes, according to the Highway Patrol.

Callers reported the collisions at about 8:20 a.m. It happened in southbound lanes just north of Pepper Road, the CHP said.

Whether injuries were involved wasn’t initially clear.

The crash came toward the end of the morning commute and traffic began to stack up behind the damaged vehicles. The lanes were cleared in about 20 minutes, according to the CHP.
