A Napa man convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a ?13-year-old girl will spend the rest of his life in prison, Sonoma County District Attorney officials said Friday.

Timothy Marble, 52, was sentenced by Sonoma County Judge Dana Simonds to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus an additional 100 years to life in prison, the maximum allowable term, District Attorney Jill Ravitch said.

The girl, who escaped by jumping out of Marble’s moving pickup on Highway 1, was present for Friday’s sentencing in Sonoma County Superior Court. She did not make a statement.

“The survivor was in court and heard the sentence imposed, helping her to continue her healing process after this heinous assault,” Ravitch said in a statement. “Like her, the community can be assured that this violent predator will be off the streets for many years to come.”

Prosecutors said Marble met the girl March 31 at a Napa gas station and invited her on a ride in his pickup. Marble injected the girl with methamphetamine after persuading her to use it, then drove her to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her, officials said. The assaults and injections were repeated as Marble drove the girl from Napa into Sonoma County, prosecutors said.

At 5 a.m. April 1, the girl jumped out of his pickup as he drove on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay and hid. A security guard in the area convinced Marble to call 911 to report the girl had jumped out of his truck, prosecutors said.

Investigators found a knife, needles for intravenous drug use, the girl’s clothing and shoes as well as a to-do list “which indicated a plan to kidnap a little girl” in Marble’s pickup, District Attorney officials said.

A jury in November found Marble guilty of felony forcible rape following the administration of a controlled substance to a minor, forcible oral copulation in the course of an aggravated kidnapping and three counts of committing lewd and lascivious acts on a minor under the age of 14.
