Robert Redford sells his Napa Valley mansion

Robert Redford has sold his St. Helena retreat for $7 million, below the original $7.5 million asking price.

Danza del Sol, a gated, 10-acre property, boasts a 5,255-square-foot main residence, a separate artist's studio and a spa, among many other amenities. The serene and private locale also has wooded hiking trails that lead to Meadowood Resort.

Redford, a renowned actor, director, businessman, bought the Napa Valley property with his wife in 2004, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Steven Mavromihalis with Pacific Union International was the listing agent.
