North Bay Reps. Mike Thompson, Jared Huffman holding summit on wildfire resiliency

North Bay Congressmen Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman are hosting a Fire Resiliency Summit featuring the head of Pepperwood Preserve and two firefighting officials Wednesday night at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building.

Lisa Micheli, president and CEO of the 3,200-acre preserve off Porter Creek Road, will discuss wildfire response and resiliency, along with Shana Jones, chief of Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa unit, and Robert Baird, director of fire and aviation management in the U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Southwest Region.

The panelists will answer questions from the audience.

The event is free and open to the public from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Building, 1351 Maple Ave.
