More than 100 customers affected by power outage west of Sebastopol

PG&E reported that a preliminary investigation indicates that the outage was caused by “an emergency issue.”|

More than 700 homes and businesses west of Sebastopol and east of Freestone lost power Wednesday morning, PG&E said.

The outage started about 5:30 a.m. after a vehicle struck a power pole on Bodega Highway, said PG&E spokeswoman Deanna Contreras in an email.

PG&E crews worked to restore power in the area, and by 3 p.m. only about 100 customers remained without power. All customers had their power restored later Wednesday evening.
