Sonoma County deputy arrests one of Napa County’s ‘Most Wanted’

A Geyserville traffic stop Thursday over an illegible license plate ended up netting a man on Napa County’s Most Wanted list, authorities said.

Michael Patrick Dunne, 32, of Napa was driving a green Jeep on the ?5000 block of Highway 128 about 12:50 a.m. Thursday when he passed a Sonoma County sheriff’s deputy who couldn’t read the license plate because it wasn’t lit, a news release said.

Upon being pulled over, Dunne claimed he didn’t have his driver’s license and gave the deputy a name other than his own, the release said.

The deputy was just about to cite him for driving without a license, when he noticed something hidden under Dunne’s sweatshirt - a methamphetamine pipe, the release said.

When the deputy searched the rest of the car, he found another pipe, methamphetamine and Dunne’s actual driver’s license. A records search showed Dunne was wanted on a Napa County misdemeanor warrant and a felony no-bail warrant. After taking him to the Sonoma County Jail, deputies found more concealed drugs and paraphernalia, including heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, two hydrocodone pills and matches, authorities said.

Dunne is facing felony and misdemeanor drug-related charges and is being held without bail.
