Thumbs up to the landmark Classes of 2019 at Sonoma County’s leading institutions of higher learning — Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College. Sonoma State will confer diplomas on the graduating class in the school’s 58-year history — 2,917 students — at six commencement exercises spread over two days this weekend.

Santa Rosa Junior College, which had its largest-ever graduating class a year ago, will follow up on May 25 with its 100th graduating class. The SRJC class totals almost 1,700 students, ranging in age from 14 to 68. Among them, they have earned nearly 2,300 degrees and 2,800 certificates in career education.

Congratulations and good luck to the graduates.
