THE PUENTE & GANAS AWARDS, MAY 3

Santa Rosa: Los Cien, Sonoma County’s largest Latino leadership organization, will honor local leaders making a difference in their community during this first-ever fundraiser, including an awards ceremony and an authentic Oaxaqueño breakfast, prepared by Octavio and Pedro Diaz. 7-9 a.m. Friday. $50; $750 for a table. ROSELAND’S CINCO DE MAYO RUN, MAY 5

Santa Rosa: The event includes 5K and 10K runs for adults and students and the Carrera de Ninos (Kids Run). Activities open with check-in at 7:45 a.m. and end with a post-race celebration at noon. SONOMA CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION, MAY 5

Sonoma: Presented by La Luz Center, the event celebrates the date of the Mexican Army’s victory in 1862 over France at the Battle of Pueblo during the Franco-Mexican War. ROSELAND’S CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL, MAY 5

Santa Rosa: The 14th annual celebration presents continuous live entertainment on two stages from 3 to 9 p.m. The Stage 1 lineup includes Los Travezos, Miss Latina Wine Country, Pisoleros Famosos, Mariachi Azteca and Band La Congora. Stage 2: Sexto Poder, Auxiliary Dance Team, V!va Folklorico, Kodigo Fama, Ballet Folklorico Netzhusacoyotl, Flako Illegal and DJ Set with Cypher. Also, food booths, kids’ games and more.
