Special grant finances October screenings for eligible Sonoma Valley women.|

Women 40 and older who live or work in Sonoma Valley may qualify for a free mammogram at Sonoma Valley Hospital during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Those who are underinsured, have a high deductible or are without insurance and haven’t had a mammogram within the past 12 months can schedule a screening through the hospital’s Project Pink program.

Their physicians can fax orders to (707) 935-5271.

The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation funds the mammograms through a special grant for eligible women.

To make an appointment or for more information, call 935-5215 and mention Project Pink.
