Since 2012, police have arrested 11 players on the 49ers. Some more than once. One twice in the past five weeks.

Some were suspended by the NFL.

Here is a complete list of the 49ers' recent offenders, their offenses and the team's response to each one.

Reuben Foster

March 3, 2017: The NFL sent Foster home from the Scouting Combine after he failed a drug test and screamed at a student hospital worker.

49ers response: They traded up to take Foster with pick No. 31 in the first round. During the draft, GM John Lynch said, “People may be questioning some of (Foster's) character, but his character is what drew us to him. He lights up a room. He's a good kid. I believe in the kid.” Lynch also said he would have drafted Foster with pick No. 3 in the first round had Solomon Thomas not been available.

Jan. 11, 2018: Alabama police arrested Foster for second-degree possession of marijuana.

Feb. 12, 2018: Los Gatos police arrested Foster for domestic violence, criminal threats and possession of a SIG Sauer 516 short-barreled assault rifle - illegal in California.

Tramaine Brock

April 6, 2017: Santa Clara police arrested Brock for domestic violence.

49ers response: They released Brock less than four hours after news of his arrest broke. Lynch held a press conference on April 10. “There was enough (information) there that we felt it was the decision we had to make,” he said. Four months later, Santa Clara dropped the charges against Brock due to lack of evidence. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings and appeared in 11 games.

Ahmad Brooks

May 1, 2008: A woman accused Brooks of punching her in the face.

49ers response: They signed Brooks after claiming him off waivers on August 31.

July 3, 2013: Police released a warrant for the arrest of Brooks after he hit teammate Lamar Divens in the head with a beer bottle.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. Police never arrested Brooks.

Aug. 26, 2015: The Santa Clara District Attorney charged Brooks with sexual battery for groping an unconscious woman.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. The 49ers kept Brooks on the team through the 2016 season. His case is still pending.

Aaron Lynch

July 15, 2016: The NFL suspended Lynch four games for failing a drug test.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they're “disappointed” in Lynch, but “are confident he will learn from this matter.” Lynch still is on the team. He will be a free agent in March.

Bruce Miller

March 5, 2015: Santa Clara police arrested Miller for domestic battery. He pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information.

Sept. 5, 2016: San Francisco Police arrested Miller for assaulting a 70-year-old man and his son at the Marriott Hotel in Fisherman's Wharf. Prosecutors charged Miller with seven felonies.

49ers response: They released Miller the same day.

Chris Culliver

March 28, 2014: San Jose police arrested Chris Culliver for reckless driving, felony hit-and-run and possession of brass knuckles after crashing into a bicyclist and fleeing the accident.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. Culliver stayed on the team and started 14 games for the 49ers in 2014. In 2015, he signed with the Washington Redskins as a free agent.

Daniel Kilgore

Jan. 26, 2014: Tennessee police arrested Kilgore for being drunk in public.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. Kilgore is still on the team. The 49ers signed him on Wednesday to a three-year contract extension through 2020.

Al Netter

Feb. 20, 2013: San Jose police arrested Netter for drunken driving.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. Netter stayed on the 49ers practice squad for another year.

Demarcus Dobbs

Nov. 30, 2012: Police arrested Dobbs for drunken driving and possession of marijuana.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information, and left him at home for one road game in 2012. In 2013, the NFL suspended him for the season opener. The 49ers kept Dobbs on their roster until November 4, 2014.

Ray McDonald

June 10, 2010: Police arrested McDonald for drunk driving and speeding. He was going 94 miles per hour in a 65 miles-per-hour zone.

Feb. 8, 2012: Police arrested McDonald for an outstanding warrant stemming from his 2010 DUI.

Aug. 30, 2014: Police arrested McDonald for domestic violence against his pregnant fiancé, who had bruises.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. “There is such a thing called due process,” GM Trent Baalke told local reporters, “and we intend to let that play out.”

Dec. 17, 2014: Prosecutors named McDonald a suspect in a sexual assault case. He allegedly raped the same unconscious woman Brooks allegedly groped.

49ers response: They released McDonald hours after he became a suspect, citing a “pattern of poor decision making.”

Aldon Smith

Jan. 27, 2012: Miami police arrested Smith for drunk driving.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information.

Sept. 20, 2013: San Jose police arrested Smith for drunk driving and marijuana possession after crashing his car into a tree while driving to practice.

49ers response: They issued a written statement that they take the matter seriously and are gathering information. Then, they let him practice later that day and play in their upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts. Afterward, Smith voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility and missed the next five games.

Oct. 9, 2013: Police arrested Smith for possession of illegal firearms.

March 13, 2014: Police arrested Smith for disorderly conduct after making a false bomb threat at Los Angeles airport.

Aug.6, 2015: Police arrested Smith for drunk driving and vandalism after hitting a parked car.

49ers response: Released Smith the next day.
